Schools can help fight cancer

Thursday, 26 November 2009

I AM writing to ask schools in the local area to help us with some festive fundraising this Christmas.
At World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF), we have started a new festive fundraising campaign for schools, with lots of fun and healthy ideas to get children and teachers into the holiday spirit.
We can provide schools with collection tins, stickers and posters to help with your event, and downloadable activity sheets full of simple but engaging ideas, including healthy recipe menus, crafty competitions and themed fancy dress days.
As well as raising money for our research and education programmes into cancer prevention, this is a great chance for schools to encourage children to get into healthy habits.
For more information, people can visit www.wcrf-uk.org/fundraising to download their free seasonal fundraising resource kit or email events@wcrf.org
